· Retail prices are those at which retail trade, private producers and services rendering workers; sell their products and services to final consumers, including turnover tax.
· Average prices in Republic of Serbia are based on average prices in provinces (Central Serbia and Vojvodina), and prices in provinces on average prices in towns. For weighting factors are used annual quantities of products sold in retail trade in a corresponding town, that is, provinces.
· Retail Price Index (RPI) measures changes in retail prices and it is used as a measure of inflation. RPI has been computed by weighting factors represented by the structure of turnover value in retail trade at green markets by products, increased by the value of services (arts and crafts, public utilities, culture, transport and PTT).
· Consumer price index is a special type of index of retail prices articles and services for personal consumption which has been computed the basis of a special list containing articles and services for personal consumption, and the average retail prices of goods and services, that is, their individual price indices. Weighting factors have been represented by the structure of value of purchased products and services of non-agricultural households, from the Survey on Consumption of Households.

Producers' prices of agricultural and fishing products are prices at which authorized organizations purchase agricultural products from private agricultural producers (prices in private sector or purchase prices) as well as prices at which agricultural organizations sell their own products (prices in social sector or selling prices).
Average purchase prices are based on data on quantities and values of agricultural and fishing products purchased from private agricultural producers, and average selling prices on data of agricultural organizations on quantities and values of product sold out of own production.
Indices of purchase prices have been computed by weighting factors represented by the structure of value of products purchased from private agricultural producers, and indices of selling prices have been computed by weighting factors represented by the structure of value of products of Agricultural organizations sold out of own production. A total index of producers' price of agricultural products has been computed by weighting these two indices by the share of sale from own production and purchase from private agricultural producers in total sale of products.
